Looking to the future is part of the definition of an idea factory. We at LINKS realize that some of the endeavors to create awareness and a move toward community change take decades. We have seen examples from the very first think tank, which was behind the abolition of slavery to those more recent groups that have brought forth innovative ideas on education and health care. Seat belts took over 20 years of constancy for the call to safety before that policy shift occurred. Today we are in the midst of a change in the way public policy is defined around cigarette smoke.

All of that is at the heart of LINKS. We are willing to go the distance and keep good information before the public along with strategies for change that empower them to get involved.
